Rick “Ozzie” Nelson is Director of Homeland Security and Counterterrorism Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, DC. He is a former Navy helicopter pilot with over twenty years operational and intelligence experience. Nelson joined CSISS in September 2008 after retiring from the U.S Navy where he served in a variety of senior policy and operational positions, including recent service in Afghanistan.
