Another year, another lineup of exciting lectures! This year is shaping up to be an exciting one for the IID! Throughout the Fall semester we will be hosting a number of lectures on a variety of topics such as:
- Canadian National Security
- The Question of North Korea
- Governance and Radicalization in Somalia
- Canada’s Record in Afghanistan

In keeping with a new IID tradition, with the Winter semester will come a new special series as a follow up to the success of last year’s Prospects for Peace: a forum on the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict. This year we will be looking at India-Pakistan, hosting experts from across the globe and addressing such issues as:
- Kashmir
- Nuclear Weapons
- Islamic Radicalization
- The Role of Women in Government and Society
- The Region’s Relationship with the West
Our first lecture of the year will be a look at Canadian National Security with Ryerson’s own Dr. Arne Kislenko and Dr. Lorne Dawson from the University of Waterloo. Please join us Wed. September 29, 2010 from 6:30 – 8:30 in ENG 103. More information to come!
